Decades-long relationships in Hollywood are uncommon but not impossible, and Katey Sagal and her husband and "Sons of Anarchy" co-star Kurt Sutter confirm it.
Born on January 19, 1954, Katey Sagal grew up surrounded by talented artists as her parents were TV and film directors and producers, and some of her siblings pursued acting careers.
Sagal has been involved in the entertainment industry since the 1970s, when she landed minor roles in TV series and films. She turned to music and worked as a backup singer for Olivia Newton-John and Bette Midler.

INSIDE KATEY SAGAL'S SUCCESSFUL CAREER
In the 1980s, she gave acting a second try and landed a part in Mary Tyler Moore's TV series "Mary." Sagal's breakthrough role was Peggy in "Married… with Children," the show that ran from 1987 to 1997.
Two years later, she joined the cast of the animated series "Futurama" to voice over Leela. Sagal has also appeared in "Sons of Anarchy," "Superior Donuts," "The Conners," and many other successful projects.

WHO IS KURT SUTTER, KATEY SAGAL'S SPOUSE?
The "8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter" actress is married to Kurt Sutter, and although he is not as famous as Sagal, he is also a talented artist.
Sutter is mainly known as a screenwriter, director, and producer. The most popular TV series he has written and produced are "The Shield," "Sons of Anarchy," "The Bastard Executioner," and "Mayans MC."
Of all his projects, "The Shield" probably holds a special place in his heart. He used the TV series to debut as an actor (he portrayed hitman Margos Dezerian) and work with Sagal for the first time.
Sagal faced medical complications after the birth of her two eldest kids.
Speaking of Sutter and Sagal's relationship, they met through a mutual friend in the early 2000s. They got along so well that he said they should go out sometime, and she agreed.
Her kids kept her busy, though, so they went on their first date a few months after their first meeting. Sagal revealed that they never left each other after that first coffee date.
On October 2, 2004, the couple tied the knot in a private ceremony held at their Los Feliz, California, property, and they have been together since then.
KURT SUTTER BECAME THE STEPFATHER OF KATEY SAGAL'S CHILDREN
Before marrying Sutter, Sagal had already welcomed Sarah, born in August 1994, and Jackson, born in March 1996, during her previous relationship (more about her three ex-husbands later).
Sarah and Jackson followed in their famous mother's footsteps and became actors. She made her acting debut in "Sons of Anarchy" in 2011, while he did it in "SPF-18" in 2017.
Sagal admitted to being "very protective" of her children when Sutter met them, but he successfully earned the stepparent title over time.
It is essential to point out that Sagal faced medical complications after the birth of her two eldest kids, and she could no longer carry a child.
Still, she and Sutter wanted to have a kid, so they simultaneously explored adoption and surrogacy. The couple was not particularly inclined towards one of the two options, so they were willing to go with whatever happened first.
Their surrogacy process "fell into place really easy," so they chose that road. Sagal and Sutter's only child, Esmé Louise, was born on January 10, 2007, with both parents present at the hospital for her birth.
WHO ARE KATEY SAGAL'S EX-HUSBANDS?
Before finding "the one" in Sutter, Sagal's love life was far from perfect. She was married three times, and none of those relationships lasted over ten years.
Her first husband was Freddie Beckmeier, the founder of the Beckmeier Brothers and band member of Full Moon. The former couple tied the knot in 1977 and parted ways in 1981.
Sagal's second husband was also a musician. The "lucky one" was Fred Lombardo. Unfortunately, their relationship didn't stand the test of time, and they divorced in 1989.
One year later, Sagal began dating drummer Jack White. She fell pregnant in 1991, but their baby girl, Ruby, was stillborn eight months into the pregnancy.
The actress confessed that she could not wrap her head around losing a child so far in the pregnancy and kept thinking she had done something wrong.
Sagal and White married in 1993 and didn't give up on having children, so they welcomed Sarah and Jackson before breaking up in 2000 due to "irreconcilable differences." Katey Sagal and her husband met shortly after; the rest is history. What a lovely couple!
